Oil filter housing leak on my N20, is this as common as they say?

My 2014 328i has been leaving small oil spots on the parking spot and I finally traced it to the oil filter housing gasket, which apparently is a super common failure on these engines. A mechanic confirmed it but quoted me a price that felt high for what sounds like a simple gasket, though he said there's a lot of labour involved because of where it sits. I've read that if you ignore it, oil can drip onto the belt and cause bigger problems, so I don't want to sit on it. I'm looking for Expert BMW repair in Sharjah because I've had bad experiences with general garages not torquing things properly on this car, and honestly the N20 is fussy enough that I want someone who's done this job before. Has anyone here had this gasket replaced and what did it cost? Also is there anything else worth doing at the same time since they'll already be in that area?
