Thinking of buying an S3, what should a proper inspection actually cover?

I'm going to look at a used S3 next week and I'm trying not to get carried away by how good it looks in the photos. I've bought used cars before but never anything with this much tech and complexity, and I know these can hide expensive problems if you don't look closely. A mate mentioned there's an Audi pre buy inspection with Certified technicians in Al Barsha that a lot of people use before committing, which sounds reassuring, but I want to know what they actually check beyond a basic scan. Do they look at the DSG, the Haldex, accident history, all of that? And is it worth doing even if the seller has full service history? I'd rather hear from someone who's actually gone through the process than guess and risk buying something that turns into a nightmare.
